Hello and welcome to the official first post of my blog
where i will be reviewing design within TV and possibly films. I’m going to
start off by introducing myself with the 5 W's.
Who?
My name is Danielle Windass, I’m 22 years old from Hull, United Kingdom.
What?
This blog will be my opinions, information and reviews on designs within television sets. Design and television are my two greatest passions, and I’m constantly being inspired by things around me. I studied BA(Hons) Interior Architecture and Design at Leeds Metropolitan University. I graduated in 2011 and have had some work experience at an architects practice called Surface in their Hull office. I am currently working at a place called Claughtons (also in Hull) where we space plan and design for educational environments and offices mostly. This blog is the perfect platform to show my interest of design within TV shows, although I work within the design world television is still a huge passion of mine. My aim is to create content which is not only inspiring, but informative.
When?
I feel as though I have always had a passion for design and art, and the same with TV, I always remember them as been part of my life (sad in know). After lots of thought I felt I wanted to express my thoughts on design within the television world, it just makes sense since I love both things!
Where?
I currently reside in Hull, Yorkshire, United Kingdom. It’s got a good reputation right now because we won a gold medal in the Olympics! It’s mainly known for its docks years and years ago, it’s quite a historic city to be honest and I have always lived here (other than when I went to university). I would absolutely love to live in New York, it’s just a dreamy place and is the best place I have travelled to, the buildings are just incredible and on such a large scale. But right now I’m quite content where I am, and I am enjoying working where I am.
Why?
To share work and my opinions! Hopefully inspire others, as well as building up an almost second portfolio, showing my love of design and TV as one. Since university I learnt it is important to share ideas, inspiration and work, while doing something you love. I’m constantly being inspired by other peoples work, and by sharing it I hope to introduce people to work that I love, doing this through reviewing the designs.
